The works in Both address partnership. I created these works the year my partner and I got married, drawing inspiration from the plants that I noted when my partner and I walked our dog. The resulting works are a transformation of our daily ritual into artwork. Nodding to Notan design, the prints are balanced between two color fields and a balance of negative and positive shapes: they have no clear directional hierarchy. This series was exhibited as part of Sprit Resonance: The Vitality of Contemporary Printmaking, an exhibition curated by Sarah Magnatta at the McNichols Civic Center Building, Denver, CO.
